have been part of the Kansas City community and region for almost 50 years. As
an ophthalmologist in an active and continuous practice during this period, I
have witnessed great progress in our efforts to prevent blindness. Unfortunately,
the battle is not over, in spite of our efforts our patients continue to loose
sight as the results of Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetes and others
diseases.
The independent "VISION
RESEARCH FOUNDATION OF KANSAS CITY", an integral part of the Department
of Ophthalmology at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine,
with the cooperation of Truman Medical Center, have joined in an
effort to obtain the necessary resources to bring to Kansas City, the best of
Vision Scientists. Together with the present clinical researchers, partnering
with national and international institutions we will continue to search for
prevention as well as cures of blinding diseases. Please join with
us in our efforts, so that present and future generations do not have to
suffer one of the most devastating personal tragedies -The LOSS OF
VISION!"
