How fortunate Kansas City is to be able to claim scientists and practitioners who have the passion, patience and skill to not only enhance healthy eyes but successfully treat debilitating eye conditions. As an aging macular degeneration patient I have personally benefitted from their "cutting edge" care ... I know the importance of vision research. So, when I was asked to join the founding Vision Research Center board of directors I accepted immediately and enthusiastically!
