Dr. Dawn Bircher is Director of Optometric Services for Sabates Eye Centers, specializing in contact lenses and diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
Dr. Bircher received her Bachelor of Science, Biology, in 1998 from Wichita State University. Dr. Bircher completed her Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee, in May of 2004. As an intern at Southern College, she gained expertise in a broad range of ocular disciplines including contact lens management, low vision, and pediatric care.
In her most recent position, Dr. Bircher was an Optometric Extern at Children’s Mercy Hospital. In that capacity, she worked closely with optometrists, ophthalmologists and pediatricians in the diagnosis and treatment of children with congenital health and ocular disorders.
Dr. Bircher was the 2004 recipient of the Marchon Eyewear Excellence Award and the Eye Center’s 2004 Outstanding Clinician Award. She is a member of the American Optometry Association and Kansas Optometric Association.
